Thermal Windows Woes. As thermal windows age, they lose their vacuum seals and condensation forms between the layers of glass. Eventually they become unsightly and sometimes even opaque. HUD - Abbreviation of (the U.S. Department of) Housing and Urban Development, a federal agency that oversees the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and a variety of housing and community development programs.
Prepaid interest - Interest paid before it is due. For example, at the close of a real estate transaction the borrower may prepay interest that will accrue between closing and the first monthly payment.
Prequalification - A lender's preliminary assessment of a buyer's ability to pay for a home, and an estimate of how much the buyer may borrow.
